Again with this shit???

So...
On the one hand, I think it's probably good that Dale died before the group meets The Governor. You know, if he's into people retaining their humanity and whatnot. I also think it's good that I don't have to watch Dale (Who I adore, BTW) meet the same end he meets in the comics. No, I still haven't bought the compendium, but I did manage to read a few summaries--I HAD to know.

Having said that, this is the third time I've had to watch Jeffery DeMunn get shot in the head (The Mist, and Citizen X). I've also seen him killed by aliens/black oil, and completely dicked around on a couple of TV drama shows. He kicked extreme ass as Andrei Chikatillo in HBO's Citizen X.

I will super, dooper, miss him.

Actually dudes, I posted this on Dreamwidth and am crossposting it here. It doesn't mean I love you any less. Honest. On Dreamwidth? Add me: "Wednes."

Last night's episode kept me on edge.

I started out saying how I was tired of Dale trying to be the moral voice for the entire group. I understand that he was trying to help them keep their humanity, but he was often overly preachy about it.

I was sorry I'd said that at the end. I was all "I said I was tired of him, I didn't mean kill him off, just maybe less screen time!"

Sparks and I were just sure that Carl was going to kill that guy in the barn. Carl spent the whole episode being a little dick.

Then I was sure he was going to kill that walker, but instead he wound up leading it back to the farm and causing Dale's death.

And that gun he left down by the creek? That's going to come back to bite them on the ass eventually.

Totally agreed. I was totally freaking out when I thought Carl was about to become a murderer. And yeah, Darrell is gonna be pissed that his gun is gone. I'm intrigued as to how last night is going to affect Carl and Andreas character development.

Yeah, just before Dale was attacked I was saying to Sparks that I bet Darrell is going to think Dale took his gun in his campaign to control all guns....

I'm hoping Andrea will soften a bit, she's gotten very hard lately.

Well, last night's event promises to either make or break her. I imagine we're looking at one more death this season, though Hershel could go either way. He seems like he's about to give up--evidenced by his lack of a position on killing the kid.
